Who is Alessandra Hitchcock?

Alessandra Hitchcock is from the University of New Orleans, The New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, The French Quarter. THE REAL DEAL. An artist born and raised in a special place of the world, a place unlike any other. A native New Orleanian raised in the French Quarter recognized for her art, creativity, and authenticity. From paintings, to movie sets, to your products surface designs Alessandra has a knack to giving it a feeling of lagniappe, that “little something extra” which makes it come alive.

Below is her journey of the pivots twists twirls ups and downs with some sort of zigzaggy thing we all go through to acquire the skills and insights to find ourself and success.

1990

⦁ Born in the French Quarter of New Orleans Louisiana

1994

⦁ Accepted into the gifted & talented arts school The Little Red School House McDonogh #15 located in the French Quarter of New Orleans in-between Royal St and Bourbon St on St Philp. In addition to one of the schools on camera student representative for all greater New Orleans news stations. (1994-2002)

⦁ Superintendent Academic Excellent Awards 1996-2002

1997-1999

⦁ Assisted the world renowned Whale Artist Wyland with other art students on a Whale painting in the heart of the French Quarter on Royal Street

⦁ Orleans Parish Communication 911 Poster Contest Award Winner

⦁ All kinds Safe Drawing Contest Winner

⦁ Accepted into the Talent Art Program for the State of Louisiana (1997-2008) Special studies on Artists; style, mediums, and history

2000 - 2002

⦁ Selected as 1 of 2 honorary Artist Ambassadors of New Orleans in Baton Rouge at Governor Mike Fosters Mansion, Oct. 2000 where she created her first Hand Made Glass Christmas Design Ornament for the Fosters.
⦁ Privileged co artist with Jose Tama, Painting of Marie Louve, a part of the Ogden Museum’s permanent collection, Exhibition “Artist and a Sense of Place” 2002
