The inspiration for my art is from growing up in New Orleans which made me appreciate all the festivities going on for every holiday, season and just days of the week. We celebrate everything! This is incorporated into why I choose to do Holiday Seasonal Art & Fine Art. The fun festive side to Halloween, the vibrant traditional Christmas colors that bring joyous smiles to your face, dreaming of the hot summer sun on your skin, the magic of the Mardi Gras parades! Bring an effervescent spirt in and out of me through art to share with you.
The process of creating my art is first done through concept development which is understanding the product it will go on with the theme and best color choices to create visual communication for the intended target market & end user. Including consultation with clients to see if we are a good fit for each other through layout of design and creative goals.
Steps to create original art are to integrate and develop visual elements, such as line, space, mass, color, and perspective to produce desired effects illustrating ideas, emotions, or moods. Deciding on the subtilty, playful or impactful. With the same old themes or new ideas, not in imitation, but in new perspectives.
Once the vision board or concept of idea has been fulfilled, I draw and paint by hand the initial concept to paper or canvas. Whether it be in mediums such as pen, acrylic, watercolor, or more. Then I transfer the illustration or painting into a digital format on Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop to further play with color & edits until reaching the desired effect through image manipulation. Once finalized the digital illustration or art is sent to clients to be placed on products from home décor, apparel , stationary, packaging , and more.
